What is DataClipper

DataClipper (DC) utility is a data conversion tool. You can convert files or statements from virtually any broker in any format (HTML, CSV, TXT, QIF, custom format, etc). It is specifically designed to convert your trade transactions into usable format for import into TradeKeeper or any other Schedule D software that supports standard Quicken QIF files, generic CSV files, or the TradeKeeper .TKD files.

DataClipper uses Filters to convert your files. Every file format requires a corresponding Filter (.FLT file). In most cases the Filters will be specific to your broker’s statement or file format. If a Filter is not available for your data or your broker, you may request a custom filter to be developed for your specific needs.

User Interface

DataClipper user interface is streamlined into a few standard menus. The interface follows windows standard conventions. It is uncluttered and simple to follow for a novice user. Following topics provide details on using each of the individual menu items. The contents of your source data are displayed in the upper Source Data grid. The results of the filter are displayed in the lower Result data grid.
